Asics Aggressor 2 Review
![Asics Aggressor 2 Review](https://trendytriumph.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/1-661d630f12b0f.webp)
From the beginning, Asics has been making outstanding athletic shoes; that’s what I have heard from my buddies and colleagues. So, I decided to test one of their wrestling shoes. After doing some research, I decided to try Aggressor 2.
The Aggressor 2 is a wrestling shoe from the Asics lineup. It looks like a traditional wrestling shoe with a strap on the upper ankle for better grip. The aggressive duosole of this shoe provides better traction in every stance and move while in the fight.
But are they worth their value? Today I am going to show you an honest review of Aggressor 2 based on what I felt and observed.

Asics Aggressor 2 Wrestling Shoe Review
During my college days, I had training in professional wrestling, and about a year ago, I joined a club to practice my skills again. So, I decided to buy a shoe for that. One of the coaches suggested to me the Asics Aggressor 2.
After some research and getting positive reviews from my coach, I decided to buy this one. Now, let me show you how I really found the shoe in real life:

Comfort and Fit
Well, the very first thing I noticed about Aggressor 2 was its break-in period. It took me almost 4-5 days to be comfortable in it. Before that, I found it a little stiff. I was a bit worried, but the whole thing changed after 4-5 days! It’s super comfortable now.
Talking about the fit, the ankle strap helped the shoe stick with my foot comfortably. But I have seen some remove the strap and tie their laces with tape.
Excellent Grip
In my opinion, if there’s only one reason to buy this shoe, it would be its excellent grip. It saved me a number of times from galling on the mat and also from slipping and falling and sustaining injuries.
The awkward side movements were highly supported by the grips. But there’s a thing you should also know: the shoe could slip if the mat is wet and you are having a practice session going on.

Top Running Shoes Compared:
Ankle Support
I have already talked about the ankle strap. It provided me with a very good amount of support for my ankles.
I have seen many wrestlers who were practicing with me wearing additional ankle support. But Aggressor 2 doesn’t require one.
Durability
It’s been a year since I have been using the Aggressor 2, but it still looks and feels like a new one. Although I have been using this shoe occasionally, my coach told me he had almost 200 matches with the Aggressor 2, and they still held up. So, no doubt, the shoe is durable.
Customer Reviews
The Aggressor series, with its blacked-out design, is highly recommended for its perfect fit and convenience, with a 10-star appearance and a recommended 2-3-week break-in period for proper grip.
My son enjoys the Aggressor shoe, switching from Asics to Nikes due to ankle and soul pain. It’s comfortable, fits well, and holds up well.
The user uses their second pair of boxing shoes, which last a year, for boxing and training, citing the need for a shoe with full sole stretch, as traditional shoes often seperate.
My Overall Opinion
Finally, I would like to say that I am satisfied with Asics Aggressor 2. Thanks to Mathew, my wrestling coach, for the suggestion.
You can give it a try if you want. The only concern is the slippage problem, but there’s barely any moisture on the wrestling mat. If you buy one, don’t forget to share your experience with me.
